It’s almost a rite of passage for voice over. You start from humble beginnings and hope not only your voice is bookable, but your recording space and equipment are up to snuff. One of the ways many voice actors make sure their quality is high is by testing microphones against their voice. It definitely is not a one size fits all situation.
I rejoined my friends Paul & Sean at The VO Meter podcast to compare my Sennheiser MK416 microphone to a new boutique microphone from Roswell Pro Audio making waves in the voice over industry.
Take a listen and see what you think.
And just to confirm that my recording space is also broadcast quality, I earned a badge from the World-Voices organization where I submitted sample recordings which were vetted by top industry technical pros.
